NBA FIT 2011: Coach Erik Spoelstra Arrival Press Conference at the New World Hotel on August 1, 2011



NBA FIT – THE National Basketball Association’s global comprehensive health and wellness program that encourages physical activity and healthy living for children and families through programs and events – has partnered with the Department of Health in pushing for a fit and healthy lifestyle for Filipinos by eating healthy, exercising more, losing or maintaining weight, getting enough sleep and going for annual health check-ups.


Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra is in town to lead this year’s NBA FIT Philippines Program as NBA FIT Ambassador to the Philippines. Above, Spoelstra and Ed Winkle, Senior Director of Business Development and Marketing Partnerships, NBA Asia present Dr. Irma Asuncion, Head of the DOH’s Health Promotions Board, with a commemorative event t-shirt during the NBA FIT presscon.


NBA FIT Philippines 2011started July 25 with school tours and will end Sunday August 7 with an Air 21 NBA FIT Run and mall events at the SM Mall of Asia.
